WATER GUARD – WATER-BASED FABRIC PROTECTOR

Water Guard is a water-based fabric protector that slows down the penetration of aqueous liquids, preventing stains on the fiber.

It is very safe, non-flammable, easy to apply and has a low odor, so it can be safely applied indoors.

Water Guard is suitable for upholstery, armchairs, fabric sneakers, cushions, chairs, etc.

Before applying the product, download the application manual for our SHP sanitizing and protection system from our website.
After following all the procedures for the SHP system, adjust the spray to a fan shape and apply it 15/20 cm from the surface.
Apply 2 to 3 coats of the product vertically and horizontally, with an interval of 5 to 10 minutes from one application to the next.
Using a silicone squeegee or spatula, lightly wipe over the surface where the Water Guard has been applied to achieve greater uniformity and absorption of the product into the fabric fibers.
Wait for the product to dry, which will take 24 to 48 hours, depending on the ambient temperature.
If necessary, on very cold or rainy days, use cold or hot air dryers.
When applying Water Guard to fabric that is still damp, it will be necessary to apply one more coat, the last with an application interval of 30 minutes.

Do a test in an inconspicuous place to check the colorfastness, as some fabrics can stain even with water.
After applying the product, do not apply odorants, as they contain surfactants that can compromise the performance of Water Guard.
Some fabrics may not anchor, such as: fabrics with PET filaments, ecological fabrics, satin, fabrics with a very open weave, alcantara and others.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE).
